The number of regularly paying DTH subscribers in India is expected to nearly double within 10 years, from 37 million in 2013 to 70 million in 2023.
That’s good news for the country’s DTH operators, which have already burned billions of dollars to get where they are today.
The prize, however, will only be won by those that can sustain this growth while driving yields through new services at the same time.
Saurabh Dhoot, director of Videocon Group, which runs India’s youngest and fastest growing DTH operator, shares his outlook for the road ahead.
