Direct-to-home (DTH) satellite was the first digital TV platform to launch in India almost 10 years ago.
Since that time, DTH has built a robust B2C ecosystem to serve consumers with a depth of content, choice, innovation and customer service.
Returns have been slow but four of the six DTH operators in the market are now making money.
A new report by Media Partners Asia, entitled India DTH Market Overview – Key Dynamics & Future Outlook 2014, suggests that the India DTH industry can grow profitably in the future due to a number of key drivers though regulatory and commercial barriers could challenge optimal value creation.
