PCCW Steps Up In Chinese Media

Hong Kong’s PCCW is becoming a major producer and distributor of Chinese content, in a bid to expand its media business both inside and outside Hong Kong.

The telco and IPTV operator, which already makes its own news and lifestyle programs, upped its game this year, co-producing prime-time dramas for distribution across China while seeking to shake up a domestic production sector, dominated by terrestrial incumbent TVB, at home.
