PCCW has unveiled its contender in Asia’s video streaming arena, a freemium service called Viu.
Viu, an upgraded version of mobile VOD service Vuclip, bought by PCCW earlier this year, made its debut in Hong Kong in late October, with expansion into Southeast Asia on the cards in the months to come.

We spoke to Janice Lee, MD of PCCW Media, about what makes Viu different, and how it will build its business across mature and developing markets.
